  • Admissions & enquiries — A new Admissions section to capture enquiries from a parent-facing public form or by hand, track them through a pipeline, and convert them into students when they join. Converted enquiries are frozen so your enquiry records stay accurate.
  • Parent iOS app — The Saarthi parent app is approved and live on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, with the same experience as Android.
  • Global search — Press ⌘K anywhere in the dashboard to search pages, students, invoices and records, with deep links straight to the result.
  • Subjects — Subjects are now managed as a first-class entity, linking cleanly across classes, sections and report cards.
  • Custom fields — Define your own fields on student profiles and manage them from Settings, for the information that matters to your school.
  • Student profile — Extended student details, a full-details drawer and a cleaner tabbed profile.
  • Account statement — Download a student's complete account statement as a PDF, generated on demand.
  • Class details — Click any class to open a side sheet with students across sections, class teachers and insights; 'View students' jumps to the students list filtered to that class.
  • Student import, reviewed — A precheck and review step before upload shows row errors and the class/section mapping plan; missing classes and sections are only created after you confirm, never silently.
  • Smarter exports — Detailed Excel exports are now configurable: pick information categories, single or multi-sheet layout and guardian columns, with a live worksheet preview before you download.
  • Seat availability — Set capacity per section and track available seats, enforced during admissions and enquiry conversions.
  • Fees — A revamped fees experience with clearer defaulters filtering, fee-intimation channels and improved UI across fee services.
  • Report cards — Download report cards directly, a refreshed generate experience, and reliability fixes across entry sheets, bulk generation, status filters and template deletion.
  • Communication credits — A reworked credit system with email support and updated SMS/WhatsApp pricing, so you can see and manage exactly what you spend.
  • Circular attachments — Circulars and messages now support file attachments with clear file names and sensible media limits.
  • Notifications inbox — Teacher on-leave and removed status, clearer grouping and backgrounds in the admin notifications inbox.
  • Audit log & data retention — Track sensitive actions across the platform and manage how long school data is kept, from Settings.
  • Platform & reliability — Structured logging across the backend, super-admin platform groundwork, refreshed maintenance screens, diary and parent-app polish, and dozens of stability fixes.

Teachers & Performance

  • Teacher report cards, complete — Teachers can now save marks, remarks and attendance for their classes — permission fixes make the full report-card entry workflow work end-to-end.
  • Grades and labels for teachers — Teachers can use grade scales and label categories while entering marks, just like admins.
  • Class assignments — Fixed a rare error when assigning a teacher to a class.
  • Faster platform — The servers have been refreshed and the platform migrated to upgraded infrastructure, so load times and performance are better across the school portal and the parent app.

Report Cards & Analytics

  • Report cards for teachers — Teachers can now access the Report Cards section for their classes: enter marks, manage templates and terms, and generate report cards.
  • Absent marking — Mark a student absent for the whole exam, or mark individual subjects absent in the marks table. Absent cards use a dedicated layout, and absent subjects are left out of totals with no grade shown.
  • Save as you go, publish only when ready — Marks can be saved as a draft at any time, but a report card with missing required entries can no longer be published — the error lists exactly which students still need marks.
  • Regenerate only when needed — A Stale badge appears when marks, remarks, attendance or the template change after the last build, and Regenerate is enabled only then — so it can't be used unnecessarily.
  • Publish notifications — Parents receive a push notification when a report card is published, with a toggle in the parent app's notification settings.
  • Parent acknowledgement — Parents can acknowledge a published report card from the app. The Generate tab shows who has acknowledged and who is pending.
  • Unpublish for corrections — Withdraw a published card to correct it. It disappears from the parent app and previous acknowledgements are cleared, so the corrected card is acknowledged afresh.
  • No duplicate publish alerts — Cards that are already published are skipped when publishing, so parents never receive repeated notifications.
  • Term locking — Admins can lock an exam term to freeze marks entry school-wide. Locked terms block marks, remarks and attendance changes, show a clear notice to teachers, and can be unlocked at any time.
  • Template tools — Duplicate a template as an inactive draft, edit a template's name and description, and convert a block's type (for example Label ↔ Rating + Label). Conversion is blocked once a card has been published — duplicate the template instead.
  • Report card PDFs — Optional label descriptions with a legend, Hindi text support, clearer column headers, and Label blocks now render as cards. Long text wraps by words instead of breaking mid-word.
  • Sequential invoice numbers — Invoice numbers now follow a configurable sequential format, keeping numbering consistent across the school.
  • Finance analytics — A redesigned analytics experience with faster loading and clearer per-section cards.
  • Faster fees reconciliation — Reconciliation now uses single join queries, and receipt PDFs show the correct invoice number.
  • Invoice statuses — Added a Cancelled status, and removed the redundant copy-year suffix.
  • Scheduled maintenance — Both the school portal and the parent app now show a clear maintenance screen during planned maintenance windows.
  • Security & reliability — Security and dependency fixes across the platform, plus interface and stability fixes, including the bus-stop map picker.

Report Cards & Finance

  • Report card settings — Configure grade scales (percentage-to-grade mappings) and label categories (reusable label sets) in Settings → Report Cards.
  • Grade scales — Create multiple named scales per school (e.g. Primary Scale, Senior Scale). Auto-populate grades when entering marks. Grades are editable after auto-fill.
  • Label categories — Create reusable label sets (e.g. Proficient/Good/Needs Improvement). Use them in Rating + Label and Label blocks via dropdown.
  • New block type: Label — Label dropdown + optional comment, no star rating. Ideal for categories that don't need a numeric rating.
  • Block editing — Edit block name and config via ⋯ dropdown menu. Items are inline-editable (click to edit name + max marks). Item cards use flex layout.
  • Marks table config — Show/hide marks on report cards (grades only), select grade scale, toggle overall total row. Marks are always entered by admin regardless of visibility setting.
  • Attendance override — Manually set Total Days, Present, Absent for report cards. Validates present + absent ≤ total. Only affects the PDF, not the attendance system.
  • Report card PDF fixes — Text blocks now render in PDFs. Total row styling only applies when enabled. Attendance overrides are preserved on regeneration.
  • Regenerate button — Separate from Download. Download serves cached PDF (instant), Regenerate rebuilds with latest marks + attendance (fresh). Last Generated column shows when PDF was created.
  • Marks entry validation — Can't save if any item is empty. Warning modal lists missing items when template is updated with new blocks.
  • Template deletion safety — Blocks deletion if published report cards exist. Error message suggests deactivating instead.
  • Info banner — Report Cards page shows a warning when grade scales or label categories are not configured.
  • Invoiced + convenience fees reconciliation — Bulk fee intimations with 24-hour cooldown, cancel stuck payments, no duplicate payments, automatic status updates.
  • Payment improvements — Clearer payment details, correct status after paying, working invoice downloads, cleaner payment confirmation page.
  • Student improvements — Search across all student records, automatic admission numbers.
  • Invoice improvements — Inactive students excluded from invoice generation, fee-type filter handles adhoc charges.
