Build the platform Indian schools run their day on

Saarthi is a small team building for a simple, stubborn idea: a school morning shouldn't run on WhatsApp groups and missed calls, and parents shouldn't have to chase the office. We ship a web portal, two mobile apps and a real-time tracking engine — and every one of them is used on a real morning, by real schools.

How we work

Ownership, not tickets

One person takes a feature from idea to production. No hand-offs across layers — you decide, you ship, you see it used.

Small team, short distance

No layers between you and the people using the product. Talk to schools and parents directly, and decisions happen the same day.

Ship & iterate

We release constantly and keep what works. Every change is public on our release notes — progress you can point to.

Craft is taken seriously

Security reviews, structured logging, tested migrations and verifiable rollouts — boring in the best way, because schools trust us with real data.

Open roles

No openings right now

We don't have open positions at the moment — we'd rather say that clearly than leave you waiting. But we're always glad to meet people we'd hire when the next role opens. If that's you, write to us anyway.

When we hire, it's across

Engineering

Full-stack, mobile (Expo/React Native), real-time GPS infrastructure, AI tooling. Python, TypeScript, Postgres.

School onboarding & operations

Take a school from signup to live — imports, training, data setup, and being the reason their first day goes smoothly.

Support & success

Be the person schools and parents reach when something matters. Solve it, then make sure it doesn't happen again.

Who thrives here

  • People with a bias for action — you'd rather ship the small fix than debate it for a week.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — startup scope means the brief is sometimes “here's the problem, figure it out.”
  • Clear writers and talkers — async-first, so how you communicate matters as much as what you build.
  • Genuinely care about the user — our users are school staff having a busy morning and parents worried about their child. That context keeps the work honest.

How hiring works

Step 1

Apply

Email us — a short note about you beats a long formal résumé.

Step 2

Intro call

A casual conversation about what you've built and what you want to build.

Step 3

Practical task

A small, realistic piece of work — paid, and close to what you'd actually do here.

Step 4

Offer

Fast decision either way — we respect your time as much as ours.

Don't see your role?

That's normal — we're a small team and roles open as the work grows. Tell us what you're good at and what you'd want to own here. We read every mail.
